Here's some things I found in YouTube. I don't know about the sounds of these new simulators. Particularly if it's the steam locomotives. Case in point is this one video below.

Here's the one from MSTS. This is from Brandon Smith. Now notice the quality of the sounds.

Just one of the reasons that the new kid out there has still a way to go. And mind you the sounds from Brandon Smith can easily be downloaded free of charge. :(

And looks like out of all the viewers only 7 voted and seem to be the others didn't bother. Well the seven seems to make it unanimous.

Yes, long live MSTS indeed, Jonatan!

By the way I love your MSTS videos that you have over at YouTube.
There's always something really interesting there like this one here. (A merging of two worlds, one of Final Fantasy and MSTS. ;) )

Found this guy commenting on MSTS. Obviously this guy is clueless in the real operations of a train. And paid with his apparent stupidity in operating it. (Although he says that MSTS is the best game he has ever played. LOL ) Oh, and for us serious train operators in MSTS, this is one thing you do not want to do.

O - M - G, the second one, just horrible ;) :D :bad: :ko2: :vava: :D ;)

Totally no clue of what´s Happening on a railroad - no more doubts in how so many grade crossing accidents can happen ;)

LOL! Props for the dramatic music, but I can see the general publics knowledge of trains reflects in this. But he's right about one thing; unless you're a serious train buff, you won't find enjoyment in spending hours looking out a cab window.

Let me just add some videos made by an old famous contributor to the community that has also left a while back. Mike Laxer's (username of burritofarmer in YouTube) own videos put up in YouTube. He may not be active now, but his YouTube channel page sure has taken in the new look of YouTube's channels.

Here's a couple of his interesting videos in his channel.

Here's two more from Mike's.

The Big Boy 4010.

And one on Southern Pacific 4449.

Here's another case where even this payware Big Boy don't sound right.

And they want me to pay for some half made piece of work like that? No thank you. I think I'll stick with what's currently available for free in MSTS. And the sounds there are great. Especially if you use the sounds Brandon Smith has.

If you got plenty of time to kill, this guy has managed to put up a super long game play of Train Simulator 2013 going up Sherman Hill. And unlike the other guy above that's clowning around. This guy has the operations done properly. The video is 3 hours 30 minutes long.

Here's an 8 month old review I found of Microsoft Train Simulator. Well, considering that by now. MSTS is a bit old in the tooth I think he did a fair job of reviewing something as old as MSTS. And even now we still get players using it (myself included :pardon: ) and new ones just getting to know it.

The review is about 11 minutes long. So have a see what sentai22 has to say.
