Bern, thanks.
It's been my experience in the past, with the earlier renditions of the RMD at least, that rough track was the culprit for the sometimes violent vertical camera movements. Even now on the Coast Div, I see a little of it. The box cabs are a sensitive bunch and show every little "bump" and dip in the road. A good thing our seats aren't connected to the models! They are definitely hard hat areas! I've read accounts about how rough these things rode in real life and that walking from the cab to the rear and back (a job the fireman had, to check on things back there) would result in many bruises to arms and shoulders by the sometimes violent oscillation while running at track speeds.
