Just scenery... no trains! Something different...

I know there are a few of you out there who like to shoot scenery. Well, here's the thread to do it in.
Let's keep trains out of it and shoot lonely track, bushes and grass or vast fields of amber. Maybe a farmer dig or a flower patch you've set up.
Let your imagination run wild without any trains to be seen.
I'll start with a shot that was sent to me by Bernie. I'm sure he won't mind. I loved the busy street he set up on this route.
Have fun!

Hello Rick
That's a cool one. Really has the feeling of the old west.
Cheers Tony :sign_thanks:

Cool idea!
I have a few pics shot on one of my routes that was taken by Rod McLaughlin aka "August1929". His skills and computer system are better than mine will ever be. This would be an excellent thread to not let them waste away on my hard drive anymore, instead sharing with other enthusiasts so they can be enjoyed!
First up is one taken in Turners Bend on the Ozark Northern...

I don't mind at all, I'm flattered!
That's a great shot ya got there Rick! Well, since that first shot is popular, I'll add one or two more of my favorites from that same town:
:) I'm a little curious, how do other people come up with some of their scenes? I suppose this is sort of on topic, but if this makes the thread stray to far, give me a nudge back on track. I don't wanna hijack this thread or anything. :pardon: I guess I mean this: how do the rest of you model within the limitations of the simulator you run? For example, in that last pic, the steep angle of the main road meant that I had to raise the terrain so high beneath it to prevent it from floating that it came up through other road sections. To hide this, I grabbed some of Rick's wheelbarrows and shovels and some clutter, and turned it into a road regrading operation. Anyone else ever do something like this, and end up with an interesting bit of scenery as a result that they can share?
Just curious. Anyway one final confession: I think a train bit or two snuck into a pic or two. Sorry! I'll try to behave from now on. ;)

Yes, Bernie. Covering up 'mistakes' with models is perfectly legal.
Nice shots, guys! (Except for those trains. :pardon:)

(FWIW, a definition: "Train" = Engine, or engines coupled, with or without cars, displaying markers.)
If you all will allow me a bit of latitude: I don't have but a handful of Rod pics that don't feature a "train" or "trains" as defined by the above railroad definition. Of those that don't, however, some of them may have an errant "car" therein. Hopefully, being able to share Rod's artistry in his use of composition and lighting will help make up for a car or two showing up every now and then? :)
(Note: Be sure to click to see full sized... the software crops larger pictures.)

Hmmm, I didn't think anybody would really try to find the loopholes... Bad boy.:)
It does look good, though.
