Memory - 512 MB system RAM; Recommended 1GB+
- That's hardly enough to run the OS, let alone Open Rails!?

Maybe the system requirements on this page http://openrails.org/release.html should be updated.

I'm happy to change it. What is the minimum required?

There was a number of minor issues on my hi-res cabs not the least is that the scrolling adds another dimension which will require thinking about to make the best advantage of it.
In the forces display (Alt F5 twice), there is axle out force and coupler force, now on Steam locos and DMU's these made sense. In the case of DMU's the coupler values of course was very low and varing, on the steamers the axle out force and power being higher than the coupler force. This was not the case with Diesel electrics, on 3 locos I tested (including the Dash9) the coupler force and power was consistently much higher than the axle out force and power. Testing so far shows the axle out figures are correct and the couple figures far to high.
The steam pressure gauge does not work in the cabview, I was somewhat surprised at this. Is there something blocking the implementation of this?
One route would not load OR crashing with a signal error. OR has already stated that this is a known problem.
A minor request would it be possible to show the station platforms in the f4 display, upcoming gradients would be real nice to, this display is now excellent other wise.
So far an excellent release though there are quite a number of changes that one will need to get used to and test.

Base sys memory should be minimum of 2 GB.
Videocard 256 MB base, recommended 512 MB (more is better).
It does work okay on Win XP SP3, base OS.
Hardware.....dual core, but quad core is better. Mo'bo, CPU, too many variations to qualify that, maybe someone could suggest something?

I tried to install OR but had a little difficulty.
Newer versions of NET did not help.
A friend of mine who got OR to work on his machine says that some models of mine and other developers won't animate or in some cases won't show up at all. I am willing to provide copies of the reportedly troubled models if the OR team so desrires.
I would like to see OR come to a point at whichthat it requires neither NET or XNA to function, and is capable of running (at reduced graphics settings) on a computer like mine.
My specs:
1.76 Ghz proceessor (I'm told it's equal to a 2.0 Ghz)
480MB RAM
55GB HD
I will keep my eyes open to what the OR team is up too.

It's rare that that side of me makes it all the way onto the forums, this time it did...
Again, I apologize.
