Strange, but true, that render is very similar to an early New Zealand Government Railways' class, of the 3rd quarter of the 1800s. Never say, "Never". ;)

Cheers Bazza.

I guess I'm somewhat late to introduce myself, seeing that I've been making models since around 2002. Not that many, mind you... but its been fun creating some rather unique rolling stock and engines.

I started with TSM... and quickly have that up. Then GMAX (very frustrating for me, though I did use it to create a few Trainz items) and then moved fully to Amabilis 3D Canvas... which I still use... along with Blender 2.8 now.

I took some time off... (years) but I'm back at it again... and after all this time... stuff uncomfortable with creating my own ENG and WAG files.

Pete, I have appreciated your creations over the years. Thank you.
My favorite might be the carbon dioxide tank cars which are in ever New England Central Railroad train down to Palmer and of course are unavailable anywhere else. My reskins of them are the most downloaded of anything I've done, so I guess other people like them too.

Hi Everyone!

Tony here,

Way back in the day I worked with Joe Realmuto and made the NYCTA R10 subway car for MSTS. I had a bunch of other projects in the pipeline, but life issues had prevented me from continuing the work.

I've been itching for over a year now to get back into modeling for a simulator and wanted to try my hand at making subway trains again, and OpenRails is my platform of choice both because of ease of use, and multiplayer!

I'm in an odd situation in that professionally I am trained to use SketchUp, am extremely efficient in it, and generally work quickly, but I know SketchUp doesn't support animation, though there is a working exporter for it that can handle pretty much everything else.

I'm looking forward to posting more and getting advice from folks as I'm sure my workflow is pretty convoluted. I've attached some previews of some (VERY) rough early model work associated with the R10 and R40 I've built as tests.

Thanks!
