The following are screen shots of the MP in OR, running 4 instances on the same computer, communicate through a server 500 miles away (so every instance actually talks to that server, not other instances on the same computer).
The first shows the four running, with HUD information of other players on the left
The second is the dispatcher viewer (no control) window showing trains (player controlled, AI and static) and siding/platform names
The third shows two player-controlled trains passing each other
The fourth shows that you can jump to see other trains (the top right window), this time, we jump and see an AI train
You can also jump to see the train operated by other players (top right window): this time, the right two windows show the same train

A similar, less informative "preview" was posted over at Trainsim.com. When I see these pictures a LOT of questions come to mind!
So is this "teaser" subject to answering questions from the general public?

We posted the same screenshots in trainsim.com. MP is only one of the many improvements the OR team has achieved in the past 7 months. I am willing to answer questions so that the public gets better feeling on what to expect (or not to expect).

Looks interesting to say the least. I will be interested to learn more about the new features in the next release. A question, for those of us who are loners will there be AI? And also will I need the same equiptment as the other players have in order to interact with them? And unlike the other upcoming sim this one is freeware and will use what equipment I have. Good work gents.

AI trains are included and can be seen by every player.
Required equipments are internet and PC, may need speaker and mic if you want to give and receive dispatcher command.

So player train 1 drops off 6 cars at the interchange. Can player train 2 pick them up?

I've never had a big desire for multiplayer, but I do have to admit this has some really interesting potential for running complex activities from across my home WLAN where I could never get AI to work right within MSTS.
