If it's a matter of music, you can always put in generic music that is from Freeplay Music.

http://freeplaymusic.com/

There are plenty to select from there that won't get you into copyright issues.

What if I just reupload the video/footage with generic music? Would that be okay?

Yes, although it would kinda ruin the video.

Just upload the thing without any music. I like to hear the trains without them anyway. :sorry2:

Now that might be boring to others, but nothing is better than the sounds the trains make themselves.

You won't be considered a true rail-fan if you think otherwise. :pleasantry:

The sounds of the train running through the tracks, the rumble of the locomotive, the roar of their engines, or the chugs the steamers make and the blasts of the whistle/ horn. That's the only music that I'd care to hear when it comes to train watching.

Okay, I'll reupload the footage with train noises, and add a couple of new clips too. It will take a while.

:offtopic: fully. If I want to hear music, I search for music videos, not for train videos ;)

And all that´s not taking into account that no matter which music you chose, it will never be to everybody´s personal preferences, which could in the end turn off people. E.g. when somebody of my friends sends me a link to an otherwise really cool video, but there´s modern disco music (I think, that style is called "house" ...) in it, I´ll immediately close the tab where the video is playing in.

Uploading without music, I think, should be fine for everybody. (Those who want music might just switch on their favorite song in their media player in the background too, right? :book2: )

Cheers, Markus

AFAIK Ed, Freeplaymusics terms of service does NOT allow their music being used in youtube videos or any streaming or online media without a paid licence. I strongly suggest reading their TOS very carfully.

EDIT: I found this

Which is why it's all the better to keep it music free. Meaning don't even bother putting any music. This video is about trains right? So, keep it as is. So what if it's boring without music. I prefer watching trains that way anyway. :sign_thanks:

And as I already mentioned. The only music I care to hear in such is the music of the engines chugging/roaring or the whistle/horn blowing.
