You can change the texture of the overhead wire by a simple process. The OR code looks for an ace file called "overheadwire" in the Routes\routename\Textures folder of EACH route. This lets you customize the texture for each route. The ace should be 512 x 512 in size. If the ace file is not in that location, Open Rails will use the dieselsmoke.ace as a substitute.

Two versions (dark and greenish) are included in the Addons folder with your Open Rails download. I've attached another ace file that creates a greenish - blue color that is like the copper color of overhead wires in the US. Just rename it to "overheadwire".

and possible in a future version of OR to see the thread brings current instead that of square section, to be as in the reality of round section.

Then other observation, would like to put this texture- https://picasaweb.go...122035888905346 -on the thread, but not being us repetition is not seen the result that I would like, he would be able, if possible to foresee a repetition of the texture.

Copper changes color quite a bit as it weathers so there is never just one correct color.

What I'd like to know is if overhead wires are two-tone -- a more metallic color below, where the wire is in contact with the pickup and a different, more weathered color above where it's only touched by sun and rain.

Thanks Genma, knew him how it changed of aspect the copper in the time, but I wanted to know if he was able, to put a repetition on the thread using that texture, that you see above your topic, to me it interests to know if a texture could be used with a plot as that to give a best aspect.

Could the wire be made about half the thickness? It's too big, looks like a garden hose. But, I'm glad to see it follows more closely to MSTS wire now and almost fits the hangers I made for my PE route.
