!!YOU MUST HAVE THE "PE-TENS" SET FOR THIS ARCHIVE TO WORK. THIS ARCHIVE IS AN ADD-ON TO THAT SET!!

SHAPE FILES FOR THE 1002,1016,1036,1O53 AND 1360 PREVIOUS RELEASES

These new shape files place a motorman at each end ( for reversed ends) of the above listed cars.

THE FICTITIOUS 1490

This was a spur-of-the-moment idea that came to fruition after a few days of modifying the 1360 Combination model. There were no actual Ten box motors, but it is something that very well might have been, knowing the PE's history of rebuilding coaches into express cars, combination cars, maintenance-of-way and wire cars. My story for the 1490's background is that the former combination 1361, nee 1029, was not sold in 1944, but rebuilt into an express car after the war and used until all the tens were withdrawn from service in 1950. Could be used as a baggage car for long special trains, such as the "Catalina Specials", the PE's boat train connection to Catalina Island.

1490 Model Information:

This was constructed using a modular and "stick-built" method. The curved quarter-panels on the ends made necessary many polygons to get the smooth round contours of the dasher and curved glass caracteristic of the "Herriman"-era cars on the PE and Los Angeles Railway (streetcar lines). Texturing of the car side is tiled across the length from a 256x256 map with road name and numbers applied separately. Renumbering is accomplished by repainting the appropriate maps:

Side numbers: 10011360.ace
End Numbers: 10**Fnum.ace (each car has it's own front number ace.)

The baggage doors can be opened and closed by keying Ctrl+NumPad 7 for the right door and Ctrl+NumPad9 for the left door.

!!You must have at least Bin Patch v1.7.1022 installed in your MSTS root folder to use this model or you will get engine file errors!!
