File Name: Sumpter Valley Railway's #19 Cabview

File Category: Cabviews
This is a photo realistic cabview appropriate for small to medium size USA engines built between about 1910 and 1935. The cab photos are from Sumpter Valley Railway’s #19, an ALCO built, 3’ gauge, 2-8-2, built in 1920. Stephen Thompson did the photos and research, Rick Grout did the cabview and animations. We hope to work together on other MSTS projects soon!

If you decide to go this route, I have photos of just about everything on this engine. I like her best with the Rushton (cabbage) stack, as she appeared back in the good old days! I wish they'd build one to stick on her now, although as converted from wood to oil, it wouldn't be correct any more. Here she is a couple years ago. Right now she's torn down and having boiler work done.

I've recently obtained this cabview by downloading a Reading And Northern loco From TS. It's a real Gem! :sweatingbullets:

Yup, this cabview has to be the best current steam cabview available to MSTS. Just wish it had butterfly doors :curiousPC:

The cab looks good. I also wish it had butterfly doors.

The real #19 is back up and running at Sumpter! There are some great photos from a charter a few days ago in the snow, shot by John West and posted over at the Narrow Gauge Discussion Forum. Makes me wish we still lived along the tracks there.
