If you have any issues or problems with these kits please contact us first (it may be a problem with the kit) and we will try to resolve any issues you have before heading to the forums...

Requires sxcab.zip by Dwight Mitchell.
Download from Train-sim.com and extract sxcab.zip into the Cabview Folder.

Copy the cvf from the replacement cvf folder to the Cabview folder.

Requires s4sound.zip Alco S1 sound file.
Download from Train-sim.com and extract s4sound.zip into the Sound directory.

Requires f7hornkt.zip by Jim Edmiston.
Backup originals first if desired. The default sound files are aliased to the default GP38 which is a multi-chime horn. Download from Train-sim.com and extract the two wav files from f7hornkt.zip into the Sound directory allowing overwrite and copy the two sms files from the options folder to the Sound folder.

These files were zipped up with folders enabled.

They should install to a folder called ABL Loco Pack

You may wish to install to a temporary folder first.

*

These locos are suitable for both MSTS and OR, no further adjustments are required.

You must have a local Cabview folder to access the cvf file if using in OR.
From my experience aliased cvf files do not work with OR - YMMV

*

These locos were specifically reskinned for the Alameda Belt Line Route either V1 or V2 but are of course universal...

It has been reported that there are errors in both eng files.

In the throttle section where is says:

EngineControllers (
Throttle ( 0 1 0.125 0.
NumNotches ( 9

Delete the period after the 0 so it reads:

EngineControllers (
Throttle ( 0 1 0.125 0
NumNotches ( 9

As this section was copied from the original supplied locos to maintain continuity - they also have this problem...

The trailing . can lead to erratic operation of the throttle with it jumping notches.

Thanks Derek for picking this up.

This only applies to previously downloaded locos.

A corrected archive with edited eng files has been uploaded.
