Hi all,
While searching the net, I found pictures in Pennsylvania of this covered bridge completely restored and painted red.
It's a 50 foot queen post bridge that has been covered. Reason for covering these smaller and larger bridges was to help keep the elements off in hopes of preserving the bridge itself.
There are quite a few of them scattered around the states. Some for auto traffic and some for rail travel.
This is my narrow gauge version of the same little bridge as it might have looked before the restoration. (circa 1890)

UPDATE: I raised this model up about 3" to cover the ties and ballast in both MSTS and Open Rails.
Snow textures have now been added as well.

Have fun!

I tip my hat to the following train lovers who have helped me immensely;

johnflys2, a.k.a. John, for checking for any operational errors and such.
charlie, a.k.a. charlie, for helping me figure out the .sd adjustments to keep smoke and steam within its walls.
noisemaker, a.k.a. Steven West for his snow effects.
Many many thanks, guys.
