I ran a test of Open Rails tonight on the default MSTS EUROPE2 Route and the Murder on the Orient Express Consist converted by me to use a more accurate consist, using Pascal Grando's 242A1 SNCF 1946 with tender 34A of Andre Chapelon's prototype based on the 241-101 and the full brake of the Orient Express modelied also by Grando, the Voitures-lits CIWL 1932 and his restaurant car sets, Voitures CIWL 1932 : restaurant from http://railatelier.free.fr. I also added some updated trees but the houses and objects are default MSTS and the textures really are looking great with OR.
It looks amazing, the ambience and the lighting is great, and the sim and the train performed flawlessly, no light or smoke but all the controls worked fine, and i scanned the various views to get a feel for how the textures are rendering and they really do come across very very well, the objects and the landscape looks remarkable.
Will do more soon:
