This engine was scraped by the D&RGW in 1953. The only two surviving K-27 type locomotives are #463 on the Cumbres and Toltec in Antonito,CO and #464 on the Huckelberry Railroad in Flint, MI.

I really like the model. The sound is very good. The texture is also very good. I hope the model is a reminder of the K-27 history.

The K27 was built with reference to a series of article sand comprehensive w/plans, in the MRR. These outlined the history of the K27 throught it's various iterations and eras of operation.
