Version 1.a 27 Oct 2009
May be used for a new installation, or extract the BZZ_USNG3_K27-454b.eng file
only and use that to patch/replace the old file of the same name.
New installation of 1.a
Unzip the archive BZZ-K27-454-V1a.zip into a suitable Temp folder.
Follow the new installation instructions, (clickety-clack soundFX zip included).
The locomotive ENG is patched to fix the tender problem whereby the locomotive fails
to make keep up steam production. Note the locomotive is treated as a non-tender locomotive
for technical reasons....ascetically, just place tender in usual spot and hit the T
to load water or coal.
I reduced the MaxVelocity speed from 49mph to 39mph, which should help prevent her bolting.
(Feedback requested.)
--------------------------------------------
This is the release version 1.0, there may be one further non-critical patch.
--------------------------------------------
Installation
Version 1.0 has some minor updates since the final beta 3.0a, including redone ((BM)).
Full installation instructions are in the readme file in the archive, please do read it!
The readme also contains some driving advice.
Always install the locomotive and tender as instructed. Do not put another locomotive or tender
in the same locomotive folder.
--------------------------------------------
K27 #454 is the fourth in a series of six K27 varients. There are two more coming, #461 and #464.
--------------------------------------------
Any comments, or queries, please post on ET's K27 support thread, thanks.
ENJOY!

As Herb kindly reminded me, I haven't yet fixed a couple of texture problems with the tender......this will be attended to later, rather than sooner.

I just downloaded the K27-454-V1a.zip and the first instance resulted in a 625KB file (corrupted d/l) I then downloaded the file a second time and got the full 17.9MB file. Anyone else have any problems downloading this file? Will this double download be charged against my total for the week?
Thanks for the opportunity to participate.

Spud,
I just downloaded the file, and it appears to have downloaded fine for me. You may have just hit a snag during the download, which caused it to be corrupt the first time. I don't believe the double download will be counted because you only downloaded a small chunk the first time through, But I'm not 100% sure. Another Moderator might have a better answer. Sorry for the trouble!

Zach,
thanks for the info on the D/L. Being new to the tower I'm still feeling my way about so to speak. Is there a way to check the amount of D/L you have left for the week? If so I can just keep track on my own and not 'bug' the powers that be with such questions.
In addition I must say #454 is one excellent loco. The sparks from the stack gave me pause for a few seconds but its a great touch kudos to the Capt. on an outstanding loco.
thank you,

Thanks Spud, glad you like her and I hope you'll get many hours of great narrow gauge railroading from her. I think there is a patch, too.

that is one beautiful engine and in fact it cast doubt on all the other NG engines in my roundhouse which are all sidedlined until i can take a good look at them and compare and contrast them with the 454.

Any chance you will release this model for Railworks?

Sorry Harry, that's not likely. The MW x 4 project is a collaboration for RW and I don't expect* to produce another locomotive for that sim.

Wow, this loco looks beautiful! I can finally travel narrow gauge routes (3 ft) when I need to explore the route, like the Rio Grande Southern Main. Where is this loco at in real life?
