RGS Open Platform Passenger Cars for use with MSTS.

These cars are repaints of Doug Jones' neat little Uintah Combine #1 and are released here with his permission. The Uintah combine is just a bit shorter than anything used on the C&S, D&RGW or RGS but is the closest car that has yet been produced to the passenger equipment of our favorite Colorado Lines. You will find that most of the cars offered are just one window short of how long they should be but they are great 'interim' passenger cars until someone makes the real ones.

Offered here are RGS Coaches 252, 253, 256, 257, 259 and 260. The cars are modeled in Pullman Green. Coach 260 is equipped with Adlake Marker Lamps.

The Rio Grande Southern used D&RG/W Baggage cars on their passenger trains, exchanging them with the D&RGW at Ridgway and Durango. In the years when the Ridgway-Telluride train carried a parlor car this car was also provided by the D&RG/W.

After the Galloping Geese were substituted for steam powered passenger trains, most of the coach fleet were converted to work train service. I have provided work coaches 0252 and 0256 for your use in work trains.

Coach 260 remained as a coach although painted red like the work train cars during the '30s.

To install these cars, unzip the file to a location of your choice and then copy it into the root of your MSTS installation. Overwrite if necessary.

A big "Thank You" to Doug Jones and to Howard Saunders for many of the textures and physics used on these cars.

The beautiful Adlake marker lights on the 260 courtesy of Tim Muir.

Enjoy!
