Post 1923-Pre 1950 D&RGW Open Platform Passenger Cars for use with MSTS.

These cars are repaints of Doug Jones' neat little Uintah Combine #1 and are released here with his permission. The Uintah combine is just a bit shorter than anything used on the C&S, D&RGW or RGS but is the closest car that has yet been produced to the passenger equipment of our favorite Colorado Lines. You will find that most of the cars offered are just one window short of how long they should be but they are great 'interim' passenger cars until someone makes the real ones.

Offered here are D&RGW Baggage cars 151 and 156, RPO 62, Coach 290, Combine 214 and Parlor Car "Ouray." The cars are modeled in Pullman Green.

To install these cars, unzip the file to a location of your choice and then copy it into the root of your MSTS installation. Overwrite if necessary.

A big "Thank You" to Doug Jones and to Howard Saunders for many of the textures and physics used on these cars.

Beautiful Adlake marker lights on the Parlor Car courtesy of Tim Muir.

Enjoy!

These are very nice cars I can attest to their near perfect accuracy for the Durango route, they are indeed a bit short, which threw me at first when I first ran the set, we had the same type of car here in Pagosa Springs on our branch line which did not survive the 1930s cut backs by the parent RR, but we have long memories here (next door to Durango in Colorado) and it is great to have good Passenger equipment to run as much of the traffic on the Routes in this area was for passengers, as the roads were terrible in winter and also in spring (mud) and summer (wash outs on the river)...fall was nice for people on horseback or waggons (no springs) but the RR was the preferred mode of travel where and when we could. Thanks to all who made this set of coaches. Often a Combine and a coach would be added to a mixed freight and Passenger consist.
