MSTS
April 2010
June 2010
Updated to correct filename errors
Sound files for FM Locos.
These have been developed for the Allen Norton FM H-10-44 and H-12-44 locomotives.
Original sounds and work by Harold Clitheroe used with permission.
Modified by Richard.A.Percy to the extent below.
I have only modified these files to allow them to be aliased from the common.snd folder and to allow the use of single or multi-chime horns.
The ownership and copyright belongs to Harold Clitheroe.
This file has been zipped up with folders enabled.
Download this file and unzip into your "\Train Simulator\TRAINS\TRAINSET\Common.Snd\TM_Sound" folder, if this does not exist then it will be made for you.
Many sounds are aliased to the default Dash9 and GP38 so you must at least have these sound folders installed in their default positions on your system.
If you do not all ready have, then you will need to download and install f7hornkt.zip into the common.snd/TM_Sound/ folder
The single chime horn sound is the f7horn taken from the TM_Sound folder, the multi-chome horn sound is aliased to the default GP38 horn sound both filenames are the same "gp_horn1.wav" so cannot exist in the same folder.
If you have the knowledge and the desire, then the filenames can be changed and the sms files edited to reflect your new names.
As well there are better multi-chime sounds available for download. SP typically used the Nathan P3 several examples can be found here on elvastower and on trainsim.com
