PACIFIC ELECTRIC RAILWAY 64-TON 1601-CLASS FREIGHT LOCOMOTIVE #1612
A BALDWIN-WESTINGHOUSE CLASS-D TYPE ELECTRIC INTERURBAN FREIGHT ENGINE.

This Model is for 7.2 meter wire only.
PE 1612 has both cab doors open when you first get on board.
To close the front door, hit: Ctrl+NumPad7.
To close the rear door, hit: Ctrl+NumPad9.
When changing cabs (ends) using the Bin Patch feature,
you can rotate the trolley pole by keying: Ctrl+NumPad8.

A Baldwin-Westinghouse Class D type, the #1612 was built in 1916,construction #43043. The #1612 was scrapped in February of 1955 by Lipsett Steels in Los Angeles. Total Weight, 124,200 lbs. Traction motors, 4 Westinghouse 308.D-3-225 horsepower, totaling 900hp. Controls, Type HL-Duplex, 600/1200 Volt, Westinghouse 14-EL air brake, K-14 engineer's control valve. Two D-4-K air compressors. Maximum Tractive Effort, 30,000 lb. with traction motor blowers going. Trucks, Baldwin Rigid-Bolster 6.5' wheelbase and 5-1/2"x10" journals. Original wheels were 38-1/2" diameter spoked steel-tired, but during World-War 2, were changed over to solid steel 36-1/2" wheels.
1612 is one of four Class-D locomotives ( including 1613,1614 and 1615) ordered from Baldwin Locomotive Works by PE in 1916 and could operate on either 600 or 1200 Volts. December 1, 1956 was the last day of operation for electric locomotives on the Pacific Electric.
