MARYLAND & PENNSYLVANIA RR #62 v2.10 (adjusted brakes)
ELECTRO-MOTIVE CORP. 440HP GAS-ELECTRIC MOTORCAR
Including:
COMBINATION MAIL AND BAGGAGE CAR #34
BAGGAGE CAR #42
3D Modeling and Textures by Tim Muir
This version supercedes the 7-14-08 v2 version. It features stronger braking, coupler cut levers, a water closet, grab irons to the roof, corrected rear window and slightly lighter windows.
Maryland & Pennsylvania Motor Car #62 was built in 1928 by the St. Louis Car Co. - Electro Motive Corp.. It was the more modern and more powerful, and some think more attractive, of the Ma&Pa's two motor cars. It weighed 122,720 pounds and had 440 hp.. It was retired in 1955.
Built using venerable old Train Sim Modeler Pro by Abacus. These are re-builds of the 2006 models found at Train-Sim.com library. This version has been re-worked incorporating all details into one shape file per car, which were then processed through Thomas Pilder's PolyMaster to create sub-objects and part sorting. There are no Freight Animation files and scenery now shows through the alpha window material on all cars.
Credits and Thank You's:
Paul Precht, for the request, supplying some data and photos.
Frank Musick, for supplying the fine plans of all three cars.
Chuck Zeiler, sounds, physics,
Wayne Campbell, cabviews (modified by Chuck Zeiler).
Thomas Pilder, author of PolyMaster utility, saver of days.
Herb Kelsey, brake tweaking.
