CRAFTSMAN STYLE HOUSE
Catalina Style

Yellow Clapboard with White Trim 1 Story

1910

These houses were prefabricated at the factory by a number of companies in the United States between the late 1800s and the mid 1940s. Some of the major catalog companies including Sears carries their own brand of houses as well. the parts were delivered to the construction site numbered and 3 men could build most of these style houses in 300 hours. Many remain and are highly prized by their owners and potential buyers. These models are medium pol and are intended to have both night textures.

Both based on a Craftsman Style Bungalow house located on Humprhey Lane, Montecito CA. It shows all of the characteristics of the notable Craftsman style, wide and sweeping eaves, heavy beans supporting a wide spread roof, elegant fenestration and fixtures, and usually either wooden siding or shingle wall treatments. This set contains both individual houses and matching early garages which were also designed as carriage houses and stables.

Most of the houses also have a coal chute, mail box, door bell, and some have other detail features.

More different styles of this series will be made.

This model includes night and snow textures. It is medium poly so can be used for both MSTS and Open Rails.

Rights and Restrictions: you may freely use, rework and repaint this model, TSM source files is included. The only restriction is that this model may not be sold or used in commercial pay ware without my express permission. You can reach me at the e mail below. It may also be converted to Railworks, Trainz or any other sim format I would appreciate notice and a copy of your finished work.

Installation:
Place the shape and texture files into your route folders and add the ref entry to your ref list. I use the 257 texture setting so that this will correctly display both snow and night textures.

Credits: Everyone at ET especially Tim Muir, John Fleming, Wayne Campbell, Barry Munro, Dave, The Grindre, and Jim (highball) for testing so kindly.
