HISTORY:
The Bear was built by Marchutz & Cantrell in San Francisco, California in 1892. This locomotive was gear driven with the same drive
powering the "gypsy" heads. She was owned initially by the Bear Lumber Company and worked several years in the Bear Harbor area of California.
Several years ago, the Bear was restored to operating condition by the Northern Counties Logging Interpretive Association in Eureka California.
MODEL:
Bear was created with 3DCrafter 9.3 (Build 1620).
Drawings used were from the "Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette" July/August 2000 by Al Armitage.
This model is for Open Rails only. ORTS parameters are incorporated in the engine file.
Credits:
Sandy River Tom for an excellent custom crew set.
