Forks Creek Water Tank. The tank has also been referred to as the Baker Water Tower. One of many buildings located along the Colorado & Southern (C&S) railroad located in Colorado.
Information for the model gathered from photos taken of Baker’s Tank on Boreas Pass,Colorado and drawings were used from the January/February issue of Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette: “Colorado & Southern Baker Water Tank.” Plans were drawn by Joe Crea.
It was thought that this water tank originally began life on Alpine Pass near the Alpine tunnel and was later moved to Boreas Pass after the Alpine Tunnel was shut down.
This model is made to represent the water tank that sat down near Forks Creek with is quite similar in design.
This model is a best guess and as always if you have information on this model or we missed something please share with us.
NOTE: This is a very high poly model. (10,275 polygons) Though tests in MSTS encountered no issues, the authors suggest (BUT NOT REQUIRED) using Open Rails for better results.
****NOTE!!!**** Some users may experience texture issues if run in MSTS with settings above default.
Made in Sketchup 8.
Source model included.
