Elvas Tower: D&RGW Wheel and Tie Car 06092 - Elvas Tower

This car was converted from an old 6000 series flat car for use in work car service, and was used to carry replacement wheel sets and track ties for derrick OP. The 6000 series of flats that it was converted from was built in 1887, and is the oldest series of D&RG flats known to still exist. 06092 has been completely rebuilt by the “Friends of the Cumbres and Toltec” and presently resides on the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic RR, at Chama, NM.

To install: create a new folder under your Trainset folder and copy all attached files to that new folder.

This model was made from plans by "Ken Pruitt" Published in "A Century + Ten of D&RGW Narrow Gauge Freight Cars, 1871 to 1981" by Robert Sloan. This data has been supplemented by measurements and pictures taken by myself. The historical data in the first paragraph above is from this same book.
