February 13, 2012
Railcar Model and Textures by: Justin Legg
Brakewheel Texture by: Bill Pratt
Shape files for coupler and air hoses: Erick Cantu
Physics by Herb Kelsey
Special thanks to: Herb Kelsey for providing the .wag files and other modeling advice, as well as the Knotts Berry Farm Railroad Crew for providing access to the original equipment.
TO INSTALL: Unzip DRGW_Pass_164.zip to a temporary folder; then, move the contents to the "..Train Simulator\TRAINS\TRAINSET" directory. Then, build a consist using the consist editor; the passenger car will appear as "BAGGAGE DRGW 164".
Some background:
Express car 164 was built by the Denver & Rio Grande as an express car; unlike the baggage cars, it was modernized with a Delco electric light plant, electric lights, and steam heat. The Delco plant was unique in that it was an early form of "Head End Power" and provided electricity for the rest of the train. This car was eventually dismantled after pasenger service stopped in 1951.
If there are any questions/comments/suggestions, please let me know by PM. Thanks!
