D&RGW Narrow Gauge RPO #66
February 13, 2012
Railcar Model and Textures by: Justin Legg
Brakewheel Texture by: Bill Pratt
Shape files for coupler, wheels, and air hoses: Erick Cantu
Physics by Herb Kelsey
Special thanks to: Herb Kelsey for providing the .wag files and other modeling advice, as well as the Knotts Berry Farm Railroad Crew for providing access to the original equipment.
TO INSTALL: Unzip DRGW_Pass_66.zip to a temporary folder; then, move the contents to the "..Train Simulator\TRAINS\TRAINSET" directory. Then, build a consist using the consist editor; the passenger car will appear as "RPO DRGW 66".
Some background:
RPO Car 66 was built by the Denver & Rio Grande as a mail and baggage car, but over the years several additions and modifications turned it into the "modern" 46' car that served the San Juan Train. The final modernization included electric lights and steam heat, but after passenger service was discontinued it surrendered its passenger car trucks for freight trucks and was put into MOW service. This car survived and is owned by the Durango and Silverton.
If there are any questions/comments/suggestions, please let me know by PM. Thanks!
