MSTS ANIMATED POAGE TELESCOPIC WATER COLUMN
3D model ©2011 Tim Muir

Installation:
Unzip to a temporary folder. Move the contents to your route folder, overwriting when prompted, including the nprow1.ace, if you have the NP water tower previously installed. Copy and paste these lines after the last entry of your route's .REF file and save:
Pickup (
Class ( "<PICKUP OBJECTS>" )
Filename ( Poage_Water_Column.s )
PickupType ( _FUEL_WATER_ )
Align ( None )
Description ( Poage_Water_Column )
)
Then...
Open the Route Editor.
Place the water column by clicking the mouse over the track centerline where you want it, away from switch nodes. Rotate if needs be to align with track. Save and exit the RE. Try operating the tower in the sim by pulling your locomotive tender adjacent to the spout so that it lines up with the tender's filler. Depress the "T" key to actuate the spout's animation sequence. Pressing Shift+T holds the spout down. Don't hold it too long or you might have to go to the bathroom (the sound of water rushing out the spout can be suggestive ;o) ).
Credits:

Other textures from CGTextures.com, the internet storehouse of free textures for content creators, many, many thanks.
